Match box printing

I thought I'd kick this blog off  with a little crafty project that anyone can do (in fact it is from an old art & craft book that was directed to primary school teachers, fun projects to do with kids).

I found this surprisingly enjoyable and it opened my mind to think of patterns and combinations that would never have crossed my mind had I just been faced with a blank piece of paper and a pencil. I love the simpleness and effectiveness of the project. All you need is a match box (or two, I find the edges get soggy quite quickly so it's good to have couple at hand), bit of ink -preferably poured onto a flannel or piece of material to make an ink sponge, and paper. That is all!

I liked it so much that I made one of the end results my banner on this blog:)
